Most oncologists continue active follow-up for at least 5 years after treatment. After that, less frequent check-ups may be appropriate. For some cancers (like hormone receptor-positive breast cancer), longer monitoring is recommended. Never stop follow-up without discussing it with your oncologist.

Blood donation eligibility after cancer depends on the type of cancer, treatment received, and time elapsed since treatment ended. Many survivors can donate after a disease-free waiting period. Check with your oncologist and the blood bank.
